   Teen Tech Week!

March 7-13

Enter our Tri-Tech Tournament and you could win prizes including iTunes gift cards and local gift certificates.

 There are three ways to win :

•  Create a video, 5 minutes or less, about your favorite book, movie, or your life.
• Create a playlist of under ten songs that represents your favorite book, movie, or your life.
• Test your Internet savvy and find the fake websites. Enter contest now.

Enter drawings for more prizes. Up to March 13^th teens who apply for a Wayne County library card or teens who check out a book, DVD, or CD from a local library will be entered into drawings for local gift certificates and a SanDisk mp3 player.

During the week of March 7 through March 13, visit the Wayne Libraries page on facebook to vote for your favorite videos and playlists.

But don't wait until March 7th --  you can post your videos and playlists now!

Learning Express With your library card, create your own account. Practice for your AP exams, SATs, and ACTs and get targeted advice on improvements you can make. Go to the High School or Middle School learning center to improve your math, reading comprehension, spelling, and writing skills. Go to the Computer skill center for beginning, intermediate and advanced tutorials on common Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
POWER Library Do you need research for a homework assignment but you can’t use more than 2 or 3 Internet sites? Click on POWER Library! Get access to thousands of print articles, magazines, newspapers, photos, maps, and more that you need for your homework. Just like having the magazine in your hand, but available online.
